Rules, in plain language.
Face swap is a tool with an obvious failure mode: using someone else's face without asking. These are the lines we hold, and the ones you agree to when you upload.
Terms of use
You need an account to render, and you must be 18 or older. You keep ownership of the photo you upload and of the video you produce; you grant us the narrow licence needed to store it and process the render. Do not resell raw compute, scrape the service, or use it to build a competing model.
Credits reset monthly and do not accumulate beyond 30 days after cancellation. We can suspend an account that repeatedly breaches the content policy below.
Content policy
Allowed. Your own face. A face you have documented permission to use — talent, cast, a paying client. Pro plans keep a consent record per person for exactly this reason.
Not allowed. Public figures and politicians. Anyone under 18. Non-consensual sexual content. Content meant to deceive — fake statements, fake news, fake evidence. Harassment, or a swap designed to humiliate the person whose face it is.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and the render is pulled while we look. Three substantiated reports close the account. If someone has posted a clip with your face and you did not agree to it, email trust@maketrend.video with the link — we do not require you to be a customer.
Privacy
Uploads are encrypted at rest, used only for the render you requested, and deleted after 7 days. They are never used to train a model and never shown to another account. Renders live in your library until you delete them.
We use two cookies: a session cookie, and — if you accept it — an analytics cookie that records page views without cross-site tracking. Everything else is off by default. Analytics is our only third party, and it is EU-hosted. EU customers can pin processing to Frankfurt.
Data processing agreement
A DPA is available on every paid plan, covering sub-processors, deletion timelines, breach notification and the Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers out of the EEA. Ask for it at hello@maketrend.video and we send the signed copy the same working day.
